The department of Economics is one of the core department of our college since it’s establishment. The department has passed its 70 years (approx) of Excellence .The department of Economics offers 4 year Undergraduate program only, which is divided into 8 semesters, according to nep 2020 .The department aims to import indepth knowledge of the subject to make students aware about latest development and issues concerning economics.The department has well qualified and experienced faculty members who are contributing towards the Holistic development of the students to strive towards competence . Every year the department intakes many interested students for this course. The purpose of the course is to introduce to students the basic economic principles, concepts and theories through discussions in classroom and assignments etc.which will promote Employment opportunity for the students to develop the potential among students for higher education, research and career placements.
