The Department of Political Science at Tata College was established in 1979. The department offers programs at both UG and PG levels. All programs offered by the department is in accordance to the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) of UGC, India.
At present Dr Rinki Dorai heads the department. Dr Dorai has more than 12 years teaching experience. She specializes in International Relations. Another important faculty member of the department is Dr Sanjeev Anand. To his credit, Dr Anand has a dozen of research papers, one book and one project report published. At present, Dr Anand holds the position of Public Information Officer and Coordinator of Vocational Courses at Kolhan University, Chaibasa.
